Sophie Guerra Rodriguez went to her eternal rest Monday, Sept. 21, 2026. She was born Sept. 30, 1936, to Encencio and Flavia Guerra. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Adevino Guerra, Agapito Guerra, Andrea Guevara, Manuela Guerra, Josephine Reyna and Severa Garcia; grandson, Ryan Rodriguez; and daughter- in- law, Judy Rodriguez. Survivors include her sons Gonzalo Rodriguez of Refugio, and Jeffery Rodriguez (Angela) of Beeville; granddaughter Nina Rodriguez of Los Angeles, California, grandsons Robert Rodriguez (Jenna) of Portland, Saraiel Johnson of Richmond, VA, Brandon Harris of Richmond, VA, and Brian Harris of Beeville; siblings, Lucy Hernandez of Aransas Pass, Mary Barraza of Refugio; and brothers Joe Guerra of Refugio and Louise Guerra of Fort Worth, along with her cherished great-grandchildren.

Sophie attended Refugio High School and graduated from Kearsley High School, Flint Michigan. She worked at Refugio Memorial Hospital for 30 years. She was a great mother, wife and also a friend to many. A visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, from 3 p.m. to 8 p..m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be Friday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m. at Aransas Memorial Cemetery.
